Bosworth Bash 5th Anniversary Review
OCTOBER 2nd, 3rd & 4th 2009
The 5th Anniversary of Bozzie was one to remember.
A full showfield once again!!
The weather was on our side in '09 and appart from some strong winds on Saturday we managed a full weekend of events. There was a great attendance of both campers and day visitors again and the showfield full to capacity on Sunday. Thanks as always to those who came, those who donated prizes and trophies and to those who helped. There were many as always.
We managed to raise a further £550 for our charities and Coventry Cruisers greatly appreciates everyone who dug deep all weekend.
Here's some memories from the Bash number 5...more photos in THE GALLERY

Reviews of the past shows

October 2008

Quick Review
The Wet & Windy One !
After three years of beautiful weather, the wonderful British weather finally let us down, albeit only on Show & Shine Sunday. Thursday and Friday weather was kind to us although still windy. This gave us all the chance to set up and prepare for Friday night's entertainment. Campers rolled in and the campsite was full past capacity again this year. D.J Andy again entertained everyone in the marquee with some great sounds and kept the party going all night. The quiz proved popular as ever and a late bar gave us all a chance to wind down.
Saturday was much brighter than expected and a dry cruise through Barwell, Earl Shilton and Desford was followed in the afternoon first round of the Sound-Off competition. This was the first time we have held this event, but it proved to be very popular and a crowd was soon gathering to hear everything from whisper quiet Cadillacs to roaring hot rods. There was some genuine hot competition, so we decided to run a second round on Sunday morning before the final five shoot-out. Saturday night saw 'Mutley' entertain us with some of the slickest playing out there. These guys tore through their set of rock and blues covers like there was no tomorrow and three sets later the crowd still wanted more. There was no-one in the marquee who didn't appreciate their sounds. Geuinely great guys who love their music. Thanks to the band again, they are already booked for Bozzie number 5 !
If the heavy rain had held off through Saturday night, it certainly made up for it during Sunday morning!!.Torrential downpours meant the showfield was flooded out. No ammount of drainage could help the field and by 8 o'clock there was no chance of the Show & Shine and as the marquee and bar floor was under water too, the decision was made to cancel the day. This didn't deter some hardy folk though and some still braved further downpours to bring their cars in. Unfortunately no trophies could be awarded as only some classes could have been judged and feeling this was unfair, we decided to hold the trophies back until next year. We appologise to those who attended just for Sunday and we appreciate your dedication. We know there were trophy winning vehicles there, but the elements were just against us.
Finallly we would like to thank everyone for your kind donations following the show, to all those who helped over the weekend (special thanks as always to 'Stinky Pete' )and to all the sponsors. Your support is greatly appreciated.

3rd Bosworth Bash
Quick Review
October 2007
The third Bosworth Bash has been another great weekend thanks to the many supporters who yet again turned out to make the show what it has become. The campsite was full this year again and the Friday and Saturday evening entertainment added to the good atmosphere.
The Saturday lunchtime cruise doubled to nearly 30 this year and the addition of a Peterbuilt rig made the run that more entertaining, especially parking at the Red Lion pub!
Sunday show and shine again filled the showfield past capacity meaning next year we might have to use the second field, however the range of vehicles was stunning and they all squeezed on to give everyone a sight to behold. A great turnout from the owners clubs as always and good traders support. There were many cars and trucks we hadn't seen before and congratulations to all the trophy winners. There will be photos of all winners soon on here.
Most importantly we want to thank all that donated to our chosen charities through the various collections. Everyone was in a generous mood and rightly so, these are important causes and the support is greatly appreciated.
Here are a few memories.
